West Virginia Personal Options / Aged & Disabled Waiver¶
West Virginia's Personal Options program allows participants to self-direct personal care under the Aged & Disabled Waiver and IDD waiver. Family members can be hired as attendants, though spouses are generally excluded. COVID-19 Appendix K flexibilities temporarily allowed legal representatives to be paid, but standard rules exclude spouses as legally responsible individuals.
