West Virginia Caregiver Support and FAIR Respite¶
West Virginia caregiver support is available through the Aging and Disability Resource Network and related aging programs. The FAIR program provides in-home respite for family caregivers of people with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia, and the Aging and Disability Resource Network helps connect families to caregiver support, respite, support groups, and long-term services.
The West Virginia Aged and Disabled Waiver (ADW) is a Medicaid program for people 18+ who need long-term care. It provides in-home and community services including personal attendant care, case management, skilled nursing, non-medical transportation, home modifications, and medical adult day care as an alternative to nursing home placement.
