VA Aid & Attendance Pension Supplement¶
Monthly pension supplement for wartime veterans (or their surviving spouses) who need help with activities of daily living, are bedridden, or reside in a nursing home. This is a pension-based benefit, distinct from the VA Caregiver program (PCAFC). Provides enhanced monthly pension payments above the basic VA pension rate. Veterans must have served during a wartime period and meet income/net worth limits.
Monthly pension supplement paid on top of basic VA pension. 2026 rates: Single veteran approximately $2,431/month, married veteran approximately $2,884/month, surviving spouse approximately $1,562/month. Must be a wartime veteran (or surviving spouse), age 65+ or permanently disabled, and need help with activities of daily living, be bedridden, or reside in a nursing home. Net worth limit of approximately $155,356 (2026, adjusted annually for inflation).
