Ohio 211 and Area Agency on Aging Resource Navigation

Ohio caregivers can use Ohio 211, Area Agencies on Aging, and Aging and Disability Resource Center call centers to find local human services, special services for seniors, caregiver advice, respite connections, long-term care options, disability resources, housing, food, utility, health care, mental health, transportation, and community support referrals.

Ohio 211 says 211 is a free 24-hour service for non-emergency help and access to human services across Ohio, including information about human service agencies, special services for seniors, food and shelter providers, utility assistance, health care, mental health and substance use services, disaster services, employment, and more. Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging describes itself as an Aging and Disability Resource Network and says it helps individuals, caregivers, and professionals with information, services, and support. COAAA provides free caregiver advice, education, and support, including advice on available services, respite help, hiring, financial assistance, and senior housing. Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio says its Aging and Disability Resource Center is a front door to services and information for older adults, people with disabilities, caregivers, and professionals, and that ADRC services are free and available to anyone with questions about aging, disability resources, or caregiving.
