New Jersey’s 2025 NJ-1040 instructions include a Wounded Warrior Caregivers Credit and a Child and Dependent Care Credit. The NJ-1040-HW instructions state that a caregiver who provided care for a relative who was a qualifying armed services member may qualify for a credit up to $675, limited by the qualifying service member’s federal disability compensation.
