NH Granite State Paid Family & Medical Leave (NH PFML) Plan

The NH Granite State Paid Family & Medical Leave (NH PFML) Plan is a voluntary insurance program providing wage replacement for New Hampshire workers for qualifying life events including family and medical leave.

Provides 60% wage replacement for qualifying common life events, capped at the Social Security wage base. Leave can be taken for 6 or 12 weeks. Qualifying events include: worker's own serious health condition, bonding with a child (within the first year), care for a family member with a serious health condition, military-related urgent needs, and caring for a service member. Employers may receive a 50% Business Enterprise Tax (BET) credit on premiums paid for the 6-week benefit.
