Federal-state health coverage program for low-income individuals and families. Covers doctor visits, hospital stays, prescriptions, and long-term care.
Comprehensive health coverage including doctor visits, hospital, prescriptions, mental health, preventive care, and long-term care. Cost-sharing minimal or none. In expansion states, adults under 138% FPL qualify (2026: $22,025/yr individual, $45,540/yr family of 4). Non-expansion states: often 13-33% FPL for parents, no coverage for childless adults.

- Household income at or below 138% of the Federal Poverty Level
- U.S. citizenship or qualified immigrant status required
