DC Caregiver Programs¶
The DC Department of Aging and Community Living provides programs and services for unpaid caregivers of older adults and adults with disabilities. Services include caregiver respite, support groups, education, case management, the DC Caregivers Institute, and related caregiver supports through the District's Senior Service Network.
DACL caregiver programs support unpaid caregivers through respite, support groups, educational programs, case management, caregiver education and training, stipends, transportation services, and the DC Caregivers Institute. DACL's caregiver grant materials describe service components including information and assistance, counseling, support groups, training/consultation, respite care coordination, case management, in-home respite, out-of-home day respite, overnight respite, other respite, and limited supplemental goods and services.
